Killing time at Budrys Installation

I'm whiling away the days leading up to the gathering together of the convoy in Karbon.I've practiced landing on a few planets of differing gravity to see how my ship is with the cargo whilst also collecting some materials to make sure I've got the essentials covered. I ended up upgrading the LifeSupport on the ship, as a D rated unit didn't sit right with me.
I've also practiced heading into Resource Extraction locations. Low is no problem. Hazardous and I'm in trouble very quickly; the cargo means I quickly end up with a trail of pirates following me and whilst I might be able to finish off one at a time, in gangs I can only really put legs on in order to get out of the situation and that isn't going to work in all cases. And furthermore I lost a couple of tons of cargo when some of the smaller ships got in with cargo limpets. I caught an Adder scooping up and quickly got them to put it down again.
Other than that we've been lying low and continue to study the GalMap to get a feel for some of the distances and time frames. Sacaqawea Spaceport is halfway so I hope to be there about two weeks in.
