I've arrived at Pauling Gateway in LTT 2684, which lies one jump from [REDACTED], my target system. I jumped in about an hour ago to scan the NAV BEACON, nothing of interest in the data, but the space immediately surrounding the beacon was swarming with ships, too many represented factions to count. If that is any indication of what I can expect the rest of the system to be like, this is going to be a shit show trying to weed out my targets.
Before I left the beacon, I sent off a packet to notify all Imperial assets in-system that they have a "guardian" watching over them.
So far, it seems as there is no suitable dock or settlement for me to dock my ships, so for that reason, I have chosen Pauling Gateway, as my forward operating base. It is unfortunate, the the benefit of being here is that it will be easier for me to establish myself as new "regular" in systems surrounding [REDACTED]. Also, I have almost unlimited access to data networks, repairs, supplies and whatever else I may need in the coming weeks.
Going back to the topic of my ships, I have sent to have the Kite and my new build-in-progress, the Deepwater, to be brought over. The Kite because I obviously need a sturdy combat vessel, and the Deepwater, because shes not finished and I'm trying to get her space ready for an pilgrimage expedition to Sag A*. Come to think of it, I might need to rename my boats when they get here so when I go to register them with the local security forces, I don't arouse any suspicion.
