Distant Worlds Day 14 - journey to waypoint 5 part 2

The next few days Jimmy spend fiddling with the drives to help improve their efficiency, I told him I could do the same thing by jettisoning some "cargo" but he didn't seem too keen on that idea.Whilst he was doing this I couldn't start the engines so I took the time to go out exploring on this desolate moon we had landed on, unfortunately or I guess fortunately with past experiences I found nothing of interest.
When Jimmy eventually came out of the engine room for food, I questioned him a bit more on the mission of the Luna Moth, he said they were looking for places to start a new base, outside of the bubble so that explorers could have somewhere to dock and repair themselves before the daunting trek back to the bubble, an admiral goal I thought to myself one that I will do my best to help continue.
On day 14 I knew the fleet was going to be heading to waypoint 5 so i made sure that Jimmy had finished making his changes and set off to leave, turns out another interesting "feature" that Jimmy had enabled whilst making these changes was to have both the maps scroll downwards when not pressing any buttons.
An issue i had come across before but the usual fixes for it did not seem to work, knowing how far away I still was I couldn't afford to wait any longer and just had to deal with this slight annoyance, I took off and quickly buckyballed my way to waypoint 5 only stopping when I found interesting planets on the scanner, including 2 earth-likes, I suspect that had probably already been scanned by other CMDRs in the fleet but as this was the kind of systems that Jimmy's previous ship was looking for I felt it was only right.
We eventually made it to the waypoint 5 system around midnight and Jimmy was back down in the engine room trying to fix the glitch with the system map, I was just about to head to the planet where the base camp was and suddenly all the engines went dead (servers went down) after my head stopped spinning from being dropped out of supercruise and checking that Jimmy hadn't accidentally killed himself I decided that was enough exploring for one day and that base camp can wait till tommorow
