Distant Worlds Day 28 - waypoint 8, entering the core
11 Feb 2016Silverorrange
Today was mostly spent reaching waypoint 8 for the last meet up before the start of stage 3, unfortunately by the time I had reached the base camp most of the fleet had started making there way in the general direction of waypoint 9 (as the actual system had not been officially announced yet) however I did not mind as the system that the basecamp was in had 4 earth likes, obviously already scanned but still something to help buff up the credit balance if I make it home and there was quite a few interesting water worlds on the way as well. When I got to the base camp I decided to do a bit of driving around in the SRV whilst listening to the long range communications (teamspeak), there was some talk of some interesting planetery nebula coming up in the next 2 waypoints but these were 10000 lys away from the current position (interestingly enough we are now 20000 lys away from sol ) the whole conversation got me interested in finding my own planetary nebula closer to my current location which I luckily did.
Unfortunately it is a 2000 ly detour from the main fleet path but I am interested in seeing this for myself and hopefully making my name against it, but it will likely mean I will miss the next few waypoints unless I get lucky with my jumps.
on my way towards planetery nebula system i came across an interesting balck hole system which had Binary k class stars and one of these stars was a binary with a neutron star with them being so close together im surprised it can even exist

As we get closer to the core I expect I will see even more amazing systems and I cannot wait
