On Patrol with OMSF

Another day, another batch of criminals brought to justice in the icy vacuum of space.
Ever since I founded the Omega Mining Security Force in December 3307, I've been doing my utmost to live up to our mission: providing security for the human settlement of Omega Mining and its surrounding settlements. I've spent some considerable time in the bubble since then, and yesterday I decided it was time to return to my duties.
At 1300 hours, I saddled up the Dying Light and headed into the black. I decided to put the recently established Colonia Bridge to use, and stopped at each of its first three megaships along the way. As I was looking at the missions available at Geo Chandler Memorial, I noticed that the Mammon Task Group was looking for help, and was surprised to discover the system was a mere 10 lightyears away. A couple minutes later, I had docked, then departed again. This time, my destination was much closer - a nearby Resource Extraction Site in the same ring system as the Monitoring Station. I've spent the past hour and a half taking a break from exploration and stomping out the local pirate infestation, to good effect. I just turned in 3.5 million in bounty vouchers. More importantly, the residents of the station can sleep well tonight knowing a large swath of their pirate riff-raff will trouble them no more.
For tonight, I'm going to stay here at the station. While the Dying Light has reasonable accommodations for a combat vessel, restriction beds are no match for even a frontier station's artificial gravity. Before sleep, I'm going to try to see if I can plot a route to somewhere else between here and Omega Mining that might need the OMSF's help. I'll be happy to make it back to my adopted home, it's important that I not skip past those in need along the way.
