This Selection Process Seems Flawed to Me

I've always been a worker bee. It's not something I try to hide, and it's not something I'm ashamed of. I've done menial tasks such as collecting water from the wells, or repairing the skimmers, but never anything notable or anything. It's menial, entry level, almost drone-like work. I guess I've never aspired for more, and why should I? Housing is paid for, food is paid for, etc. There's nothing to spend excess money on, which is great because there isn't hardly any of it.So imagine my surprise when I get approached on shift by some lady in full Pilots Federation adornment asking ME if I have any sort of piloting skills.
Also imagine my surprise when I tell her no, but she still expresses interest. Apparently I'm of good age and did well enough of on my ACATs to qualify for Starpilot service, but was never told of this. Why was I never told of this? Who knows. I feel as if I had left 4 or 5 years of experience on the shelf when this came about.
REGARDLESS, she approached me, and asked for me to take place in pilots training so I could fly for the controlling faction, Aisling's Angels. Politics aside, Aisling's Angels has some oomph in their name. I have NO idea whey they are approaching me, but I'm not about to ask twice.
Sidewinder, here I come.
