The Golconda: Please tell me I'm wrong...

*burp*Ah dammit, Cody...you've got me into drinking wine. And wine maybe makes me think too much...
Been following the Golconda story with interest. But now I''m a bit puzzled by the way things have gone. Apparently, the crew have agreed to relocate to a new home, a station provided by the Federation. This is all well and good. But the news reports keep saying that Forester's Choice is going to be an outpost.
Now, call me cynical. Call me a pedant. But first let me quote the Galnet article from 18th November 3305:
"During the aid appeal by Upaniklis Vision Incorporated, engineering experts confirmed that the ancient vessel can no longer meet the colony’s needs. While the Golconda was designed for long-term habitation, it lacks adequate facilities for the current population levels."
I've been to have a look at the Golconda. It's big. It's bloody huge. Now, your average outpost is not very big. Landing space for two small ships and one medium one, if you're lucky. So the Federation is planning to put the Golconda's crew onto one of those?!?
On ancient Earth, there was a popular television programme, whose protagonist travelled in a craft that was significantly larger inside than its exterior. Due to advanced technological stuff.
*pours more wine*
So unless the Federation is secretly sitting on similar tech, isn't it going to be a bit cramped aboard this new station? You would have thought they would provide a Coriolis-class port at the very least?
I guess we will just have to see!
