I feel like being stuck inside a ship for so long has started to affect me. Not mentally, I mean, but physically; I feel like I've somehow gotten fatter. My weight hasn't changed, it still shows the same as normal on my bathroom scale, but somehow the pants I have feel tighter! Eden says she hasn't noticed anything, but then again she could just be saying that to be polite. Either way, I feel like I need to invest in some kind of exercise equipment when I reach the next port. Or at least some clothes that fit a bit better...
It doesn't help that the ice moon I've parked on looks like it's made of sherbert-flavored ice cream... pink and blue sub-straits mixed with bright yellow gas jets... mmm~...
In any case, the bark mound sightings seemed to have dropped off, which has given me time to start organizing the data. I've narrowed down the list to only contain one site per system, leaving us with 15 Bark Mound sites to organize and analyze. My first step is cataloging the worlds to see how many lie within the natural habitable zone of their parent star. Nira has said he can help with that while I feed him the data files I have, and Cmdr Piper050 is finishing up gathering the last of the data for one of the sites he submitted from the Witch's Head sector.
I admit, this is a bit new to me. I've always been happy gathering data and making deductions based on what I can see, but compiling this into an organized graph for peer review is something else... Nira said it's ok for me to feel this way, since it is a lot to manage, but he's satisfied with the job I'm doing.
In any case, I'm roughly halfway to the next port on this journey. I've set up camp for the night, and I'm cooking some sloppy joes, except I'm gonna drain the gravy because... I don't like the sloppy part. Here's hoping I get more progress as the week goes by.
