I'm surprised at the amount of progress I've made... 2,000 light years from the Bubble.  1 Week of travel, and I'm already 1/10th the way to Colonia!  At this rate, I should be there in a month or two~!  Despite this, the hardest part of my journey is up ahead; a roughly 2,000 LY gap between the Orion Spur (the region of the Galaxy we live in) and the Scutum-Centaurus Arm, which contains the stretch of stars leading to Colonia.  So that's 2,000 lightyears between here and the next outpost.  Which means no pit stops, no social interaction (in person), nothing but me and my ship for another week or so of travel...
Nira has offered to be my lifeline if anything happens, but hopefully I shouldn't need to call on him for rescue.

This also is (technically) the closest location owned and operated by the Colonia Council, the main political faction operating in the region.  Most of the expansion and infrastructure development out there has been done under the Council’s supervision, so I definitely wanted to put a good word in for myself.  I traded most of the data I scanned for systems along the way, and they quickly accepted me as someone in their good graces!  I also learned a bit of news; apparently, this ship manufacturing company has gained enough traction to fund additional shipyards to build capital ships, and they’re marketing them to individuals with enough funds!  And Jacque’s Station in Colonia is going to be one of those locations!  I haven’t heard much, but it’ll be interesting to see how things change by the time I arrive there!
I’d hoped to also get connected with the Colonia Civilians Network, but that’s apparently something you’ve gotta sign up for, and I’m not too keen on paperwork which may or may not have fine print on it... no offense, just, y’kno... first impressions and all.
Do you like it?
