Entry 36: Colonia Voyage, Throttle Up

For the first time, I can see my ultimate destination. The Omega Nebula, a cool place with a cool name. It looks a bit different from the pictures I've seen, but it could be just because this is a different direction I'm viewing it from.
It's considered one of the more massive stellar nurseries in the galaxy, and as testimate to that, there's a massively dense field of stars between us and the nebula. I caught Eden giggling over it a few times; apparently, she thinks it's "unusually square" for a star field.
I think the distance for this journey is starting to hit me. Nira and some of my other fleet friends like to joke about racing to Colonia, but to be honest... the trip is taking way longer than I thought it was going to. This whole "jump system by system as we go" is starting to wear me down, I think; I could take the Mobula up to longer jump ranges, but part of me is still mildly concerned about running into the issue of the T-Tauri stars, even though I haven't seen them yet. However, at this rate, we won't be seeing Colonia until the end of the year...
...I hate waiting that long.
Despite my judgement, I've decided to up the pace. Once I reach the station in the Omega Nebula, and refuel for a bit, I'm gonna open up this ship to her full potential. With regular refueling posts on the way, I can afford to be a little less careful with my jump range, aye? No more piecemeal scanning system by system... it's time to see what all our pre-trip engineering did.
