Entry 40: Colonia Voyage, Mafia Scare

I received a bit of a scare a couple days ago; while I was preparing to park for the night, Eden picked up a faint blip on the radar. When we went to investigate, we found another ship. An Imperial-class Eagle. After conversing with the ship's COVAS, Eden found it was aligned to a local mafia organization. Needless to say, I didn't stay particularly long... in fact, I didn't sleep at all that night, just focused on getting us to the next station as quick as possible.
I opted to skip the next station and head straight to the Gandhavari system. It turned out... surprisingly rewarding! I discovered around 10 new systems which had previously gone undocumented. I'm considering if and when I go back to the bubble, I'll try to take routes parallel to the established line, for greater chances of charting new and interesting systems. For now, though, I'm happy to be so close to my goal. A mere 6,000 LightYears separates me from the furthest settled systems that humanity has reached!
In other news, that long-discussed deal with the Brewer Corporation has finally dropped. Personal Carrier vessels are now publicly available to buy! I'm not too keen on buying one myself, but I'm expecting to run into more than a few while on the last legs of my trip. I heard from Cmdr Dalvon that the New Pilots Initiative will be offering a carrier-powered ride for new players to come to Colonia this July.
... yeah, and I'll greet all the newcomers & lazy folks at Jaque's Station sipping juice, and go "Hey! What took y'all so long?" Heehee~!
