Hello, this is Kauqilla. Myself and my motley crew of AI assistants had one hell of a time getting out of Jameson today. A fellow CMDR RetiredNavyIT sent me a FTL report to meet them in ROSS 671.Quiet system without the riff raff and trash floating about the airlock, sure why not. A few jumps over in my Fed Corvette, the Cerberus, later and I'm greeted by "The Rubber Ducky".
Laughing quietly I head into station and get my own Krait Mk2. With the Pilot Federation handing out vouchers for "gift wrapper" paint schemes I knew that I would have to slap that on my new baby. Meet Batteries Not Included, named after the film from 1987. Over 1200 years ago, who would ever figure out such a lovely reference. Look, floating about asteroids mining with the help of six rambunxious Artificial Intelligence units strategecially scouring the rockballs for Diamonds and Painite, I had lots of time to watch all sorts of cinematic treasures.
After a few reconfiguration of the limpet controllers, a few laughs after blinding each other with our "headlights" RNIT and myself headed off to Alpha Centauri to bag a few Hutton Mugs as gifts for Christmas. I wonder if I can use the detachable camera drone to make a postcard....do people know what those are anymore?

Anyway uh....since this is my first entry I guess I should say a bit about myself hm? A bit of a goofball tech tinkerer, I like blinky stuff. In another life, I was likely a computer programmer or the like. With my family long gone and no one else to bother with me, I've gathered up with RetiredNavyIT, Darkwolf and several others from around the bubble and we've become a bit of a hodgepodge adopted family. Kind of nice being around kindred spirits, could get used to this.
My AI units are.....shall we say eclectic. AI Vega is my Number one, AI Unit Carina is my Helmswoman, my tactical control and away team is unit Legion. I have AI Eli in Engineering, his personality is ummm...rather anti-humanoid shall we say? My ships operation AI is D.A.R.K. He refuses to explain what it stands for. Lastly is Orion, though he sounds an awful lot like a Captain from a sindicated Television series called Star Trek. In any case, they tend to get along to an extent and make my typical lone flights through the great beyond a lot more.....sufferable.
