<VESSEL:U.S.S. VALHALLA, LOCATION: CLASSIFIED, CMD: ZELADIOUS>

Commander's log, 330610.20. We were ordered to return to dock immediately for a retrofit. New missions had come down and we were being sent to the Core, Sag A, than out and around an arm of the Galaxy. Main mission was exploration. Terraformables, water worlds, Earth Likes, anything you could land on, Ammonia worlds for some strange reason. We expect to be at the first official waypoint, Thor's Eye in the next day or two. The ship is getting it's refit done now, engineer's are working on upgrading computer components and ensuring all systems check out okay. Most of the old modules have been ripped out and new ones are being instlaled now. Mining equipment? For a deep space run? Well okay than. Perhaps we may need it for a Fleet Carrier to take us somewhere at some point. Really wish I had one of those, just take all my ships at once, and use it as a mobile outpost in deep space. Oh well. Maybe when we get back. I was told this mission doesn't really have an end point. Just whenever we get back to the bubble. We have areas we are being told to look at and entire sectors that will need to be scanned. However at the end of the day the ships route is up to me as the her commander.

I was informed that the ship will undergo a naming change. Due to my continued service the guild has decided to allow me to promote me up to the next rank, meaning I gain more access to the guild, its databases, and no longer have to be subject to their registration regulations for my vessel. I have decided the name U.S.S Valhalla, as that is the name of the planet where we are stationed.

<LOG SUSPENDED 18.4 HOURS>

The refit has completed and we left with urgency, the crew is anxious about getting out into the black even though we have done it several times. Granted not for this long before. But going towards the core is a lot less dangerous than heading to the Rift which we have done. The core has plenty of bases and locations to head to if you get caught up, and there is Colonia. I was hoping to make a stop there perhaps on our way down the arm, and speaking of the rift, I believe we will end up coming down the arm into the rift and have to take the Hissenburg bridge back to the Heart and Soul Nebulas. Things can get....strange...down there. I'm sure the crew will not be excited when I tell them that. From what I understand of the guild and how they operate, we won't be the only ones out there. Probably the slowest out there considering we are jumping on average 20 light years, and we may even at times turn on the Economic routing option. It's so that we can come in behind anyone and grab the stars they missed when jumping 60-80 light years or more at a time. We have made good distance since leaving dock. Unsure how far as the numbers just become a blur. We are free to scan as we want but from what I can tell we are right on a well traveled route and we are not going to deviate from our course for unexplored systems yet. Thor's Eye is the our Waypoint and from there we may go up or down several hundred light years and than head for Waypoint 2. I believe this will offer us the most unexplored systems until we reach the Galactic Core. Once at the core the systems are so numerous we should have no difficulty in locating fresh virgin systems. Once at Waypoint 1 and enroute to Waypoint 2 I will try to send along photos and work on getting a Video log. However without the use of a Fleet Carrier or starbase nearby we will not be able to offer any sort of remote live viewing.
