Fighting the good fight - TCF Combat Log.

Combat Log: TCF Flight Leader F. D. Lowell reporting.I have dropped out of supercruise in a quiet backwater of this sector and am conducting diagnostics and repairs on board my Alliance Challenger, the Cheyenne. The ship performed admirably for several hours of continuous bounty hunting combat in the LP 98-132 system.
After receiving a hail on the Squadron channel that our faction was being undermined, I plotted a course and arranged to rendezvous with several other active TCF commanders. Commanders Eyleen, The Fairy and Chronoflux organised ourselves into a heavy combat wing and dropped into the system's compromised nav beacon.
A second wing was formed shortly after with Cmdr Shootkillit and Cmdr Bubblebark, and Cmdr The Fairy was reassigned as Commander Air Group to direct operations. With all six ships operating in the area, it wasn't long until we had racked up several million credits in bounties. A few of us diverted to a nearby hazardous resource site, and when a couple of our pilots had to retire for the night, the rest of us regrouped for a final onslaught on the numerous wanted pilots in the AO. The speed of obtaining bounties was also increased by us switching tactics so that wingmates with mostly laser loadouts switched target when enemy shields were down. No friendly ships were destroyed during the operation - in fact, my shields only dropped once in around three hours!
All of my wingmates performed admirably. I have reported our progress to TCF Central Command. It is my hope that our efforts will go some way to maintaining control of 70 Virginis, another vital staging post for our operations.
I have now jumped to Freeport, ready to dock the Cheyenne and will be transferring a few modules from nearby systems. I have previously struggled with the Alliance line of ships, but seem to have finally found an ideal balance between speed, power, jump range and weapon combination. My Krait II (Inferno) and my Type 10 (Thunderchild) are docked in nearby systems should I need something more heavy duty on the next sortie.
