Short Expedition Completed

14 Jan 2016ROWND
I continued onward today - jump, scoop, honk, scan - always towards the little flower-shaped nebula so far out of reach ahead of me.  I was still preferentially dropping into OBAF star systems to search for interesting planets, and trying to make as much distance as I could.  At 650 Ly out (about half the distance I hoped for) I finally hit a previously unknown Earth-Like, and decided it was time to turn around and secure my profits for this little expedition.  I detoured through a nearby B star system, and then plotted the most direct route back.  The return trip was a bit of a slog, and I spent much of the time slumped at the console with fatigue, but I made it to the starport without incident.  Not a moment to soon in fact, because just minutes after uploading my expedition data in exchange for 3.18M credits (66 systems) my navigation panel once again suffered one of the mysterious general failures that plagued this little expedition.  In the morning I have to get several key systems replaced so this doesn't happen on the next trip out.

Just two more of these short but intense expeditions and the Asp will be within reach, and then I can start making much bigger plans.
