Half Full

23 Jan 3302I guess there is always two ways of looking at things, good side an bad side, Cup half full or half empty.
The Federal Navy summoned me to Shoujeman they needed some extra pilots to run security sweeps, since most of the the active duty Hudson pilots were running sweeps of Frey an Lalonde with the opening of two naval bases in those systems. Old man Hudson himself was supposedly going to be on hand at Frey for the opening, so it was busy week for them an they needed extra hands on deck calling up reservists like myself.
So halfway through my assigned missions the Apollo Powerplant went out. Damn Core Dynamics… so I decided to upgrade to something more suited for the job at hand…the FDS Anubis, the sleek an dangerous Federal Assult Ship.
She handled like a dream compared to the dropship. I finished my business And sunk every credit I had into making the Anubis a killer. I then started making my way home.
I spotted a well known wanted criminal at one of the jump stars I can’t even remember which one. I yanked him out of supercruise an before I could begin to question he opens up. Which all in all isn’t a big deal. I don’t pick fights I can’t win. But before I could finish him off his Wing Mate jumped in an I was. Blind sided an now a 2 v 1 engagement with two Anacondas. I finished off the initial bandit but with a blown canopy an 5 minutes of O2 I bailed. I tried like hell to get to the closest outpost but had to bail in the escape pod for I was still 35000 ls away when O2 was exhausted.
So I found myself floating in the dark abyss. Hoping someone, preferably the Fed Navy an not some
slave traders, would hear my beacon an pick me up.
I was picked up by some long hauler running thermal cooling units into Kremainn. Back to where I graduated the academy. Atleast I’m not in the cargo hold of some clipper running slaves into Imperial space.
So here I sit in Wohler waiting for my Viper Mk.IV to arrive. For all my credits an insurance papers were lost with the anubis. So I started back with good Ole sidey an gained few credits to purchase the MkIV. We’ll I’m going to get some shut eye till it arrives.
Until next time.
