Is this the real life or just a conspiracy?

Weeks have passed since I've updated this log. I almost want to apologize to my computer for not speaking to it in so long. That's weird.
Isn't it strange how you become connected to things like that?
.....
I really need to learn to control my ramblings and actually log important things.
It has been 18 days since I found Isaac dead in his apartment and I was right in assuming I'd be wanted for his murder. I stayed in hiding for about a week in different starports around the bubble trying to dissect everything that has happened so far and come up with a plan. I keep thinking about The Cartel. They gave me solid information on Isaac's location but where did they get this from? I always assumed they did a little digging into my past and figured that I had it out for this guy and needed a way to sway me to work for them but that all sounds too convenient. I'm heading back home to Ray Gateway now and confronting Jimmy. I've bought an array of weapons and gear from black markets around the bubble....this may get ugly. I hope it doesn't.
I'll update this log once I get back to my ship if everything goes smooth.
----UPDATE----
I arrived at The Cartels "headquarters" expecting a fight. It's really more of an apartment building than it is any "headquarters". Anyhow, I pulled out my gun and walked through the front doors and nobody was there. I thought this was strange but decided to investigate further. I've been here enough to know my way to Jimmy's office so I decided to start there. I took the elevator to the 6th floor. I went down the empty hall to Jimmy's office and the door was open. No one. The room was empty. It was so clean it was as if no one was ever here. This place used to be full of armed men and drug dealers.
I holstered my gun and walked around his office looking for anything that would give me a clue as to what was going on.
That's when I noticed a camera in the corner of the room close to the ceiling. It looked as if it were following me as I was pacing. I approached it slowly to make sure I wasn't just losing my mind from lack of sleep.
"Jimmy?" I asked as I walked closer to the camera.
When I was about 3 foot from the camera it started hissing and smoke started rolling out of it. Then all at once it just exploded.
I fell back on the floor holding my hands over my ears with my eyes shut.
"Great! You've already lost an eye and now you're probably deaf!" I thought to myself.
Luckily my hearing slowly came back after a few seconds of ringing.
I opened my eyes to see the room was now on fire and the sprinklers over head were apparently just there as decoration. I made my way out of this death trap of a building as quick as possible. Luckily this is such a shady neighborhood no one had even noticed the explosion and security forces hadn't responded yet. Otherwise I'd probably be framed for arson as well.
I'm back in my ship now with more questions than answers. I feel completely lost now. I have no leads. The Cartel was the only thing I had and now I'm without answers. I'm going to call it a night and visit the bar. Maybe I can dig up some leads there.
