>AUDIO RECORDING: 05/08/3305 04:09:04 UTCThis is the audio logo of Commander Mariah Andyxii of the starship Stardust. Today marks the seventy-eighth day of our expedition to Sagittarius A*. We are approximately six thousand light years from the Khun system. I suspect that we will make it most of the way today. Then actually arrive at Khun on the sixth.
[DEEP SIGH]
I wanted this expedition to last longer. I had just wished that things had been different.
[SILENCE]
It was more than just the trepidation of the lack of ports between Sag A and Beagle Point. The squadron I report to is in dire need of its members back in The Bubble. The Pilot's Federation is considering allow select squadrons access to piloting large megaships. They will be known as fleet carriers. The carriers should be available to squadrons some time this December. They are supposed to cost billions of credits. Exploration Data is lucrative, but it is time consuming.
[SMALL PAUSE]
The money is currently in mining. It is faster, and at the moment void opals and painite are in high demand, which means high yield on profits. It is part of the reason why I want to outfit a Python for mining. Not only to make money for the squad, but also because I want to outfit another Anaconda for combat. That way after my mining trips yield me my Trade Elite rank, I can work on my Combat rank with the Pilot's Federation and gain the coveted Triple Elite.
[THE SOUND OF A CABINET DOOR BEING OPENED FOLLOWED BY THE CLINKING OF GLASS]
Though, I expect that will be a long way off
[SOUND OF A CORK BEING POPPED AND LIQUID BEING POURED INTO A GLASS]
I was going to open this bottle on Beagle Point, but I will settle for just being back in the Inner Orion Spur. After I arrive at Khun, I will be heading to the Procyon system. Marcus Qwent is the next engineer on my list, I need an invitation from the Sirius Corp. I am sure they would love to have the exploration data I have collected on my way home fro Sag A. I might even get a permit to jump to the Sirius system itself.
[SIPPING SOUNDS]
Wouldn't that be something? Once I get my Python ready, I think I will re-outfit my AspX and headout to the Guardian sites, look for more data for modules and weapons. I would like my Xeno Killer ship to be up to the task of beating back the Thargoids. Plus, I love the way the Guardian tech looks.
[ANOTHER SIP]
Anyway, I have talked long enough.
Commander Mariah Andyxii signing off.
End recording.
