>AUDIO RECORDING: 29/04/3306 03:22:00 UTCThis is audio log one of Commander Mariah Andyxii of FFS-19 Stardust. Today marks the inaugural jump of my second attempt to make it to Beagle Point. The ship is outfitted with two SRVs and two single launch fighters. I have hired on a Commander Melony Wilkins to assist me in this journey.
[SIGH]
She is not the most experienced explorer, but her enthusiasm is in the right place.
[COMPUTER SOUNDS AS SOME MESSES WITH AN INTERFACE]
We are currently in the Pallaeni System at the Distant Worlds II Inaugural Jump Beacon, I have Wilkins performing several more crosschecks of the systems before we begin our jumps out of The Bubble. Now, it might seem strange to have two combat fighters on an exploration ship, but I find such small ships are grand for more minute exploration than what the massive DeLacey Anacondas can allow.
[MORE COMPUTER NOISES]
We are setting course to make out way to Waypoint 2, the Omega Mining Operation facility in Omega Sector VE-Q b5-15. On my initial jump into the black, I made several scenic detours along the way to get impressive views and what not. In the interest of time and getting to Sag A* as soon as possible, we will be making a more direct route. Only documenting planets and celestial bodies that are absolutely necessary and then moving on.
[SMALL PAUSE]
It is not ideal, I should want to explore everything, but I want to get to the other side of the galaxy.
[AUDIBLE SIGH AND PAUSE]
I want to reach Beagle Point. Once I get past Explorer's Anchorage, I might take my time. I must first regain my lost progress from last year.
[KNOCK AT CABIN DOOR]

Okay, that was Wilkins, everything seems good to go, so were going to start making our way toward the galactic core, first station stop, that piss poor beer at Omega. According to the navicomputer, only 81 jumps.
