Captain's Log, 25/06/3302 - CNE Day 11

A bit of a late start today, but I was determined.
I could see waypoint 7 in the distance but was unable to plot a route straight away. Still needed to get a bit closer. Fortunately, I saw another commander about half way there, so I locked onto his position and plotted a route.
It takes time, jumping and scanning. With nearly every system undiscovered you can't ignore them, well, most of them anyway.
I even managed to find a few water worlds, lots of gas giants and plenty of high metal content worlds. I tend to ignore the rocky/ice worlds, but sometimes you have to take a closer look. There were a few I wasn't too sure about, so I scanned them anyway, and sure enough, they turned out to be water worlds. It's getting harder to distinguish them on the system map.
One nice find was a water world with rings. I haven't come across one like this before, so came in for a closer look and a phot opportunity.
I also had a close call jumping into one system, I almost ended up sandwiched between two suns. It got a little warm for a while.
Right now, I'm struggling to keep my eyes open, so I'm going to have to call it a night. Hopefully, I'll reach WP7 tomorrow. I'm now only a day behind the main expedition, according to the time table.
56 jumps completed today, God knows how many scans I've done. Still have 38 more jumps to do to the next stop. Then I have to start all over again to WP8. I hope this one will be a shorter route.
Good night all. Signing off. 07
