What a day!!!!!!It stated off so well. Some decent missions. A few interdictions that went my way. Quite easy really, even when I was jumped by two at the same time. Managed to dispatch both with only a few scratches on the paintwork.
Perhaps this was where I went wrong. Over confident??? Probably.
Anyway, pick up another good mission and had a full load when I was jumped by someone in an Imperial clipper (I think),
That was a tough battle but survived with just 26% hull integrity, and a cracked canopy. He wasn't so lucky. And I had a nice bounty to go with it. Time to head for the nearest dock for repairs.
That's when the panic set in. Two minutes later, I was interdicted again. Had to run as fast as I could, no way would I survive a fight.
After two attempts at interdicting me, I final managed to give him the slip and made port. Breath a sigh of relief.
Confidence back, I setoff to complete my mission only to be interdicted again. This time I wasn't so lucky. This guy was good, very good. He had me in about 5 minutes. Faster, more heavily armed, I didn't stand a chance.
Over half a million credits down the drain and back to square one for the day.
OK. Reality check. Need to get my money back, but safely. More missions and some crafty trading.
Thankfully, I redeemed myself, or just got lucky, and came out on top again.
Another thing is I think I'm getting into this exploring lark. I've now figured out how to scan unexplored areas for additional credits.
Tomorrow beckons. Time to rest and calm the nerves.
