Another long day. Just trying not to fall asleep at the wheel (so to speak).Started of with my usual missions and Empire duty, collecting some decent rewards, the odd bounty, etc. I finally ended up near Phiagre and Jera, so I thought I'd pop over and see if I could help out.
I picked up some cargo and headed over to Phiagre to sell on, then picked up a load at the Vicky Chappell station and set off to Mitchell Orbital.
I read it was OK to trade from here so wasn't too worried. Anyway, I was half way there when I was jumped by a FAS. I don't know what happened, but, one minute I had full shields (pretty good shields too) the next they were gone, completely. Hell, I wasn't staying around here for too long, so I started boosting until my FSD came online. Only just managed it, he got me down to 50% in less than a minute.
Anyway, I made it to Mitchell Orbital and, low and behold, no repair facilities. So, I sell off my cargo, fill up with fresh cargo and head back to Phiagre pronto.
While at Greeboski, I thought I might give mining one last try. My Mynah bird is parked up here so a quick change and I pick up a few tasty missions out of the local area. (Don't worry, I made sure they weren't JH missions). Half a million later, I start looking for a mining spot and locate a Pristine metallic ring, just what the doctor ordered.
So, 96t cargo space, add 30 limpets and away we go.
Several hours later, I'm loaded to the gunnels with metals and minerals but still have 10 limpets left. There's a station nearby that has good prices on minerals, so a short hop there and back and I have over 100,000 cr. and 43 extra cargo spaces.
As the saying goes, Painite's a pain. Only managed 1 ton, Palladium x14, Platinum x3, Gold x19 and Silver x22. Plus some Osmiun and a few other minerals. All told, nearly 750,00 cr. but for 5 hours work? it's got to be easier. Maybe I need a bigger ship!
What I DO need is sleep. I almost flew into a sun on the way back.
Think I'll pass the Mynah bird onto someone else and work towards my Clipper. Maybe that will be better.
