Back in the Bubble

I decided to leave the science to the scientists and return to the Bubble early. Now that Canonn has a map, I'm confident that people will be tracking its location closely as it approaches our space. This decision was influenced in part by reports of hostile hyperdictions of CMDRs leaving the system the Anomaly is currently traveling to. My DBX was definitely not equipped to deal with that risk, so I made my way up to HIP 36601 to gather some raw materials for FSD injections. Only after I arrived at the end of this thousand-light year detour did I remember that Ennaveth was outfitted with a Scorpion SRV instead of a Scarab, so the wave scanner—crucial to finding these rare elements—was absent. That meant it was time to cut my losses and head home. I did find a couple high value systems on the trip, and their data helped finance my first Anaconda, which I outfitted to balance jump range with versatility. I just finished engineering her, and I named her Nieve, from the Spanish word for snow, but I pronounce it like it's French. She's surprisingly nimble for having such undersized thrusters, and I was genuinely shocked at how fast the jump range went up after just a couple of stabs at the modification.
As I returned to Meene, Ram Tah messaged me about collecting some Guardian data for him, so I think this is a good time to take Nicole out to see the ruins in Synuefe XR-H d11-102. I know there are a few active obelisks there, and the locations of the different patterns are pretty easy to research. I have a few weeks to finish the task, so I'll see if Nicole is cleared to travel again. She has jumped the carrier a couple times today with my authorization, so things seem to be looking up.
She just knocked on my door, and she said she needs to talk to me, so I'll sign off for now. I sense some apprehension, so I hope all is well. Will update as appropriate.
