No, I wasn't conscripted.

Nicole wrote an entry earlier about me being conscripted (allegedly) to fight on behalf of Ho Parerme Jet Comms Commodities. Turns out it was just some chucklenuts trying to manipulate visiting CMDRs into fighting for his faction. On the bright side, I survived my ten engagements with only a couple grazes and got an email from Hero Ferrari. But I still have a long way to go before I'm finished with my exobio expedition, and while she does do a mod I think would be beneficial, I don't think it warrants a detour and I'm pretty sure I don't have the mats.Credit haul so far is half a billion in exobio data, with another 341 million on the list. No first discoveries; that's not how Spansh's tool works. But Vista doesn't care. They still pay good coin. I'm planning on doing a proper exobio run out in the black once I can get an idea of where the valuable stuff grows. Those first discovery bonuses are pretty juicy, from what I've heard.
I also made almost ten million after handing in all my combat bonds. It was an interesting experience, and it was frankly a lot easier than some of the scavs I've gone up against. But I'm kind of pissed off at the whole debacle. I do. not. like. being. manipulated. Azimuth did that. And while I'm going to give them money for my future AX builds, I'm not going to give them my support. Hoping for some corporate espionage to happen, if you know what I mean.
Talking about builds, here's what I've been running for the last week: Tashui the Exploracourier. God, I love this ship. If I had this with the jump range of a DBX, I would never fly anything else when exploring.
Anyway, off to video chat Nicole for a few minutes, finish scanning in Ho Parerme, and get a hot meal and a warm bed in the next system, Ipet. I've seen enough of Finney City. Plus, if I come back, Mr. "Recruiter" will press charges for assault. After I learned that I wasn't conscripted after all, I found him in the bar chatting up another CMDR and showed him my right hook. Hurt like hell after a whole day of literally fighting for my life, but it was worth it.
