Equipment and Weapons

26 Jul 2020Aeryn Airstryder
This log serves as a reference guide to equipment, devices and weapons used by the RP characters Ao, Rose, and August  along with their related NPCs;

'BWSF Prototype Protection and Mobility Combat Gear (P.M.C.G), a breastplate, greaves, boots and gauntlets reverse engineered by 'Alex Yamamoto' from the armour of the Arquette Family Guard's battle suits.
The P.M.C.G is made of a AR500 Steel and Kevlar Composite with a ballistic gel inner lining and a Void Opal coating giving the armour it's pitch black light absorbing appearance.
Capable of stopping kinetic rounds up to a calibre of .50 BMG and absorbing limited amounts of energy from personal energy weapons thanks to the Void Opal Coating's ability to absorb light, to power its thrusters. The P.M.C.G contains a number of small mobility enhancing thrusters in the boots, greaves, hands and elbows, not powerful enough to keep a person aloft but just enough that they enhance the user's abilities, however they burn out quickly and require time to cool and recharge after heavy usage.
Less damage resistant than its predecessor and only covering vital areas and limbs, the Arquette Family Guard Battlesuit (A.G.B) The A.G.B instead being a full head to toe battle armour that used LTD's to spread the effect of energy weapons across the entirety of the suit.
What the P.M.C.G lacks in resistance and coverage it makes up for in mobility, the lighter suit allowing for more thruster time and better situational awareness due to the lack of a helmet.

Arquette Family Guard Battlesuits (A.G.B):
Developed by the Arquette family research division in partnership with Gutamya, the A.G.B is a full head to toe battlesuit.
Made of an AR500 Steel and Kevlar Composite and a cushioned inner lining, the A.G.B is capable of stopping everything short of an explosive tipped .50BMG, even then leaving the wearer winded and stunned.
The A.G.B also utilises an LTD energy refracting coating that spreads the energy of handheld energy weapons across the entirety of the suit as a opposed to allowing the weapon to burn straight through the armour.
The entire suit is fitted with mobility enhancing thursters, while not powerful enough to keep a person aloft, they still enhance the user's abilities significantly, however, unlike the P.M.C.G, lacks the gel layer and recharge abilities, a heavy enough impact can cause injury to the user and the thrusters take far longer to cool down and recharge, the larger amount of material also requires the suit's thruster's to fire harder and for longer to match the mobility of the P.M.C.G making cooldown and recharges more frequent.
Ice white with a full face mirrored black visor akin to that of the traditional pilot's suit.
The suit's only real weaknesses to attack are soft areas such as the joints and neck.

The Thunder Child Armoured Personnel Carrier Version A (T.C.A.P.C-A) MK
A Large 6 wheeled vehicle with thick armour designed to resist explosives and armour penetrating rounds from handheld weapons.
The T.C.A.P.C comes fitted with remote controlled twin rotary guns chambered in 7.62x51 kinetic rounds, located on a low profile turret located centrally on the roof of the vehicle.
Internally the T.C.A.P.C is split into two compartments.
First is the crew cab, crewed by a driver, commander/gunner and a communications officer/mechanic.
A hatch allows the crew to pass from the cab to the aft compatment.

Second is the Aft Compartment, the aft compartment contains seats for up to 12 infantry, 6 to a side and understeat racks for weapons and equipment. Aside from a window located in the rear drop ramp the aft compatment is completely cut off from the outside.
The aft compatment floor can be pulled up to allow crew access to the engine and gearbox without having to leave the saftey of the APCs inside.

As a whole the T.C.A.P.C is airtight and on emergency power can serve as a lifeboat in hostile enviroments for up to 6 hours.
Reviews of the APC's accomidation's are unanimous: cramped, stuffy, claustrophobic and loud.

Visually the T.C.A.P.C is ugly and unimpressive, from the side it looks like a large rectangle with a right angle triangle, longest side facing the ground on the front of the vehicle where the crew cab is located.
The Type A, being designed for urban conflicts, whilst still being raised compared to most vehicles, is lower to the ground than other varients, and its wheels located in wheel wells like a more traditional car.
Wheel layout is 2 axles to the rear near the boarding ramp, and 1 axle forward just before the crew cab.

Top Speed: 62mph
0-60 Speed: 13.4 seconds
