We arrive at Farseer Inc

We finally arrive in the Deciat system, after three hard days of jumping from system to system and fuel-scooping every star that we come across to fill my jump tanks. It was a rough journey, full of dangers and challenges. I almost lost my Type 7 to the gravity of one K-class star, when my thruster systems shorted out and I lost all propulsion to fight the pull and sip enough fuel for the next jump. But I was able to get the controls to respond after some bashing with a wrench and pleading with the thruster drive system to come back online. I was lucky to survive that close call.We hear on the Galnet (the Galactic News) the reason why Dragon was so worried and in a hurry to leave Holden Dock. Two days after we left, the Thargoids attacked and decimated Holden Dock. They swarmed the station with their organic ships, firing their corrosive missiles and lasers, and breaching the hull with their tentacles. They slaughtered everyone inside, leaving behind a charred and twisted wreck. It was a horrific sight and a tragic loss.
Somehow, Dragon knew it was going to happen. She had some trusted contacts in the underworld of smuggling, or maybe a close source in the Fuel Rats, who had given her a heads up. But she didn't tell me anything until we were already on our way to Deciat. She said it was too risky to share the information, and that we had to leave as soon as possible. She said she was sorry for not telling me sooner, but she hoped I understood. I checked Rat Chat myself and saw no Rat Wide communication from Ratteligence (the Fuel Rat Intelligence department) about the pending attack on Holden Dock. She must have had some secret channel or some personal connection. She does keep her contacts close to her chest.
We fly on to Deciat 6, where Farseer Inc. is located. It's a small outpost on a rocky planet, surrounded by mountains and canyons. It's not easy to land there, especially with a large ship like mine. But Dragon guides me through the approach, and we manage to touch down safely. We exit our ships and head to the engineer's workshop.
Felicity Farseer is waiting for us, with a smile on her face. She's a middle-aged woman, with blonde hair and blue eyes. She's wearing a white lab coat and goggles, and holding a wrench in her hand. She's a genius when it comes to FSD drives, and she's willing to upgrade ours, for a price.
"Welcome, commanders. I'm Felicity Farseer, and this is my humble shop. I hear you're looking for some FSD enhancements. Well, you've come to the right place. I can make your ships jump farther and faster than ever before. But it won't be cheap, or easy. You'll need to provide me with some rare materials and complete some tasks for me. Are you up for the challenge?" She asks us, with a friendly but firm tone.
We look at each other and nod. We're ready to do whatever it takes to get our FSD drives engineered. We need to improve our jump range and our smuggling efficiency. We need to stay ahead of the competition, and the enemies. We need to survive in this dangerous galaxy.
We accept Felicity's offer, and she gives us a list of the materials and tasks we need to complete. We thank her and head back to our ships. We have a lot of work to do, and not much time to waste.
