The Bianchi Incident Part Three

... My ego is starting to get scratched....I am known as a tough and fearless mercenary who fulfils his orders. But ...what have I gotten myself into here. This is not something I can do in good conscience and without emotional attachment.
I spent the last week looking for my niece, who some mysterious adversaries of this Bianchi girl had kidnapped to force me to kill her.
As it seemed Kendra was able to escape her kidnappers for a short while.... She's a really smart girl
but then I never heard from her again. Some of Sassia Bianchi's friends offered to help me find her. I'm not good at working with others and I'm not used to it either. My jobs usually require some isolation.Yesterday Kendra contacted the Bianchi girl (why not me?) and told her where she was hiding. It looked like my niece was in serious trouble. One of the kidnappers and a bunch of corrupt security guards were on her trail. I immediately ordered my fleet carrier to the CPD-28 332 system where Kendra appeared to be fighting for her life. Unfortunately, just when it mattered, I had a very unusual malfunction in my ship's AI and drives.... The "Resurrection" had nowhere to go....
Sassia's group went on that rescue mission.
Kendra told me what happened today. She's still pretty banged up, but she's okay.
My clever little niece stole her own ship and escaped a second time. However, she was discovered and her gunship was fired upon by Willis Prospect during the escape. Since the hyperdrives had failed, she could not leave the system and had to hide on a nearby planet. One of the kidnappers found her and she was already on the run again when the rescue forces arrived. These people found Kendra, protected her and repaired her ship... even though they didn't actually know her. Unbelievable!!
Finally, with an adventurous aerial manoeuvre, my niece managed to dock with my carrier, which was literally besieged by "security forces". When I asked her how the hell she had done it, she grinned: "Silent running and heat sinks. You taught me that, auntie." I am so proud of her.
I asked her if she knew who had kidnapped her. Kendra told me that she had overheard a conversation about the "Suijin" system, but that was all she knew.
I had a terrible suspicion... An old "friend" and business partner of mine had her base in this system. Octavia Qinton, one of the most unscrupulous and vicious people I had ever met. But she has been dead for years!!! Of course, there is the possibility that Quinton's gang still exists. The nature of my assignment and the veiled contact would fit this picture very well, by the way.
If this turns out to be true... then this Bianchi girl needs all the help she can get.
... I'm really not scared of much...but this is creepy...
