The Bianchi Incident Final Chapter
27 Mar 2021Sharon Valerii
She disappeared...No one really knows what happened to the Bianchi girl in the end. Even her protectors are completely in the dark.
..but one by one..
I had given my word to the girl to help her find out the truth. So I went home to my asteroid base in the HIP 17519 system and began to search my secure archives. This was not entirely altruistic, of course, because I desperately needed to know if there was any evidence of Octavia's death that had been overlooked.
My niece Kendra, after a very strange communication with White Wyvern that scared her, complied with my request and also came with me to Pirate's Lament.
We didn't talk much because I immediately buried myself in work. Commanders with whom I had become friends in the meantime were already beginning to worry about me.
Even after an intensive search in my archives, I could find no indication that Octavia survived or that this strange device she had in her possession at the end was ever found.
It was also around this time that these strange malfunctions of the artificial intelligence of my onboard systems began....
A friend of mine, Commander Liam Rhenford, offered to speak with Senator he knew to finally bring clarity to the matter of "Octavia Quinton"....
I met with Bianchi in Haoria and gave her the little information about my clients that I had found out.
Bianchi's own investigations led her to Prism and then to the listening posts in the Teorge system. I wanted to stay by her side to get to know my ominous client, whose trail we were obviously on....
Again my ship's AI threw a spanner in the works... another malfunction caused a "misjump" and I just managed to prevent my Imperial Cutter from burning up in a sun....
When this whole Bianchi mess was over, I really needed to check it out.
After a long delay, I arrived in Teorge just in time to board "Aussi's Nest" a fleet carrier and travel with the "Bianchi Group" to the Anumclaw system.
Once there, we looked out together for White Wyvern, who had suddenly reappeared, while Sassia Bianchi met with this client alone, without her protectors! met with this client...
The end is unfortunately completely unclear... from some communication fragments we could find out that Sassia was to be killed in retaliation for her father's deeds.... How bizarre...
However, we could not find any debris or other traces that pointed to the destruction of the Cobra. Nor was there any trace of the attacker's Imperial Clipper....
Now I hadn't really been able to find out who my employer was who wanted to have me killed. I had no further clues either... the trail was literally lost in the void....
Only. It was to turn out that that was the least of my problems....
But more about that later...
