The Eagle has landed (The Norma Arm Initiative)

Back in 3303 I got my first Sidewinder MkI and was heading out to make a fortune. But life went on and so I found my love in Wolf 335. The last two years I Trying to drown my sorrow over the lost love at the the Galactic Bar I overheard a conversation that the Amouranth Observatory of Space Stuff received come suspicious signals from the Norma Arm Region and there was an expedition about to start. Alone and despondent I decided to sell my workshop and put all my credits into a Diamondback Explorer to join the expedition.
After acquiring the DBX I had a lot to learn how to survive in the black, read a lot about Neutron Jet Boosts, engineered FSD, Thargoids and the history of the galaxy. There were still some days until the exploration starts but I felt... I needed some practice first.
This was the perfect opportunity to pay my tributes to the famous CMDR Jameson and so I headed out to his crash site. Hearing his last logs adressed to his 'kiddo', one can only imagine how he was feeling at the end. Hopefully we will not share the same fate.
After doing my last preperations I went to Naunin, the starting point of the expedition and after some time I reached the first way point IC 1287 Sector BQ-Y d9. I was scanning a lot of planets on my way to get acquainted with the scanner systems.
Spent the night between the volcanoes of the twin moons, I moved on to the next waypoint HR 6164 the next morning , also known as 'The View'. A System with a neutron star and a breathtaking view on two black holes. To my surprise it wasn't able to dock at the tourist facility located near the neutron star. So I had to get a cool Barron's Head elsewhere.
The Neutron Boost took me about 130 LY further into the black. With this jump I must have crossed the 1000 LY landmark from Sol..time to enjoy a cool Barron's He... oh wait...
Thirsty and sober I continued my flight to the Hillary Station as I really wanted to celebrate my achievement. After a few jumps I noticed an anomaly on my radar screen in the Blu Thua MQ-X b1-4 system. It turned out it was a Proto-Lagrange Cloud containing Prasinum Metallic Crystals and Rubeum Metallic Crystals. Nice surprise, I was the first CMDR visiting this system and to discover the Langrange Cloud, the second one in the Inner Orion Region.
Time for a selfie:
Finally reached the outpost, got my beer and a couple of million credits for my discoveries. I don't want to think about the last two years as for now I am richer than ever.
The Next waypoint was HD 175876 (Heaven's Lathe) a neutron star with a 12 Ls -wide ring, the impressive view forced me to set out the camera drone another time:
Reaching Droju UA-D d13-9 (Delos) with its Earth-like-Worlds was a good opportunity to get some more credits, but other than that it was not so much to see and I moved on.
Next Stop Traikaae CH-Y c10 (Labirinto). There is a moon with wide canyons and its really fun to flight through them. But I still have 14k LY to go, so I better not overdo it.
Reaching the Amundsen Termin at Lagoon Sector NI-S b4-10 provided me with more of the liquid bliss named Barron's Head and even more credits for the exploration data. It seems the possibility to have the credits to afford an Anaconda when I return are not out of this world.
The next Day I flew to the next way point Trifid Sector OI-S b4-12. One of the moons had also big canyons where one can race around and is calles Lucifer's Lair. So I gave it a try, approched some geysers race around but after ditching the ground quiet hard with almost no shield left I was overthinking my plan and decided to be better safe than sorry. Phew, that was close.
Thank god the next Waypoint is Eagle's Landing, another deep Outpost on the Colonia Route. There I can do my repairs and guess... have some Berron's Heads. It seems the density of neutron starts to raise in this area. I am expecting to travel much faster in the next couple of days.
...to be continued
