=== BEGIN LOG ===Can't tell you how much I was having buyer's remorse about my investment in the Lakon Federation Gunship. It's a marvel of technology and power, but -- sheesh it's a brick.
My crewmate, Devon, and I continued our push to bounty hunt in the Federation bubble and just kept getting more and more frustrated with losing bounties. You can't pull down a runner if they can boost away from a slow gunship and a less slow Taipan or F-63 -- that can't finish the job.
I docked the gunship in Eurybia and found a discounted Krait Mk II. Devon came with. After some haggling with the shipyard dealer, I managed to grab the Krait and get her for about 15% or more off. Glad my recent mining expeditions have been profitable. This was tough to swallow after getting the gunship.
I've spent the past few days getting the Krait kitted out, visiting all the requisite engineers for their assistance. More materials trading throughout the bubble. The work to get a ship combat ready is tiring, but it's worth it.
Devon is enjoying the new ship -- he's not getting stranded in a fighter while I chug to catch up to help finish a bounty hunt. We even picked up some contract work for a Federation faction in a conflict zone. The Krait held it's own, for the most part.
I still prefer the Federation Assault Ship for those conflict zone contracts, but -- I like Devon in a fighter. He likes the paydays too.
Anyway -- back to work -- gotta find a way to cover the costs for the gunship AND the new ship.
