Finally bought my first asp explorer today. Will name it "Millennium Tabby" in honor of my two tabby co pilots hanging out with me right now and every other night. Ship is a solid step up from the T6 I was hauling in previously. I fortunately had the foresight to equip it with 2x beam lasers, 2x cannons (medium), and the 2 burst lasers it came with. The two extra shield charges helped immensely as I was getting interdicted left and right and forced to protect my assets. I will need to learn how to dogfight better as an eagle flew circles around me for much longer than I care to admit. Ended up boosting and jumping out of there due to my low funds still. I love the jump range and power plant on this thing however. It will serve me well as a good all around ship If I can get a handle on this combat. Being able to carry 64 tons of cargo while only using one slot for my cargo racks is an amazing convenience. Well worth every penny for that upgrade.
I think I will continue to level up my EXO standings tomorrow and try to wing up with some of my new found faction mates. Odds are they'll have some solid pointers on why I am too inept to kill an eagle. At least I didn't let the eagle kill me. That's the bright side here.
