GALACTIC WANDERERS EXPEDITION: CAPTAINS LOG: DAY # 1 - DEPARTURE

Captains Log Day # 1 - We have successfully departedThe remainder of the day was spent on final preparations and pre-jump checklists. Stock had been finalized and sorted, Fleet Carrier crew had got into position and Galactic Expedition assets were locked in place and the crew could relax. The final hours of preparation were significantly stressful. We had received greenlights on all systems prior to jump, as we initiated the jump lockdown procedure and tried to lock onto our jump destination we were picking up significant signal disturbances which were preventing us from making a lock. The carrier crew investigated the issue and it was discovered that there were signal anomalies from some power arrays and the Frame Shift Drive itself. This set the jump schedule back significantly as we tried to get to the bottom of the problem. At 20h38 the signals ceased and we were able to make a clean lock onto the destination. All systems were green so we decided to take the jump.
As the jump countdown reach T-10 seconds witch space ripped opened in front of us and the black fog reached out for us as our Frame Shift drive shuddered us towards the black sprawling rip in space. It wasn't long before we were completely engulfed by witch space and before we knew it a flash of light burst in front of us and we emerged to our first waypoint.
We had several jump interruptions due to signal anomalies through several other waypoints until we finally arrived at Mammon. The signals have since ceased. I have had the team establish formal investigations into the sources of the signal anomalies over our stay in Mammon and give me a report prior to the next jump.

Post flight checks were being performed and the investigatory crew had walked off the bridge. It had been a stressful start to the trip and so I decided to take my Cobra out to the Mammon Monitoring Facility to see if I could relax and see if there were any personal who could assist with the strange signals anomalies we were experiencing.
Mammon Monitoring Facility
The Monitoring Facility was within one of Mammons planetary rings. You would swear your guidance system was malfunctioning, which wouldn't have been a surprise after the events of today. I dropped out of super cruise and the asteroid facility emerged out of the darkness and dust.
Mammon Monitoring Facility
I docked within the facility and made my way to the monitoring bureau and scheduled an appointment with a liaison to assist us in our signal investigation. I was hoping the monitoring facility had insights that may shed light on the situation. After that I decided it was time to get a drink and reflect on the day and try to relax. I watched the ships coming and going through the mail slot, almost like watching a pendulum swing. I was getting tired, and I was worrying about what lay ahead of us for the rest of the journey. Tomorrow would be longer and I really wasn't up for further challenges. Whatever these signals are I hope we get far enough away from the bubble to not have them bother us again. Lets worry about this tomorrow after I get some sleep.
