Well, that settles it then... These attacks are done by those damned Neo-Marlinists... You'd think they'd have given up when the Marlinists got what they wanted - democracy, wasn't it? Then again, I don't pay too much attention to the news, but even so, now it just seems like they're on a quest for vengeance against the Empire. Not even just the Empire specifically anymore... but all the superpowers. It's insane, I thought they got what they wanted. We've been on high alert here and it looks like it's going to stay that way... at least until this situation can contained.
I also overheard some of the security personnel talking about a previous NMLA attack on the Solaris, which was surprising. By their account, one of the maintenance crew got inspired by the NMLA and sabotaged the carrier's jump drive... Apparently, it was last year, but even so... with these attacks returning, who knows what they'll target. According to the news, there's been a pretty big response from the independent community, so I suppose that's good. Ever since the first Thargoid attacks, Commanders banded together to help those in need, repairing star-ports and rescuing survivors. Even now, it's nice to see them continuing the tradition, I suppose...
I just wish I could do the same.
