Something weird happened today. Apparently, the last log on that encrypted datapad was decoded by Mantis. Turns out it had the name of one of our doctors in it. Rocco Pearson... So, that's that then, we got the guy.
Only, that's not how it went, of course. According to the interrogating officer, he wasn't even involved. Framed by one of his colleagues. We've started a ship-wide search now for the real culprit, another researcher by the name of Douglas Gray. He's one of the doctors researching experimental soil injection for... agriculture, I guess, but if we've fit the puzzle-pieces right, it seems like he's just turned to theft to get his kick.
Either way, those artefacts weren't cheap. Seems like the goal now is to arrest him, hand him over to authorities, or just throw him in the brig... I'm just glad we're not the ones getting blamed for letting someone sneak into secure holding. Before we started the search, we got briefed and some of us got to see the logs. Guy seems like a real nutcase, to be honest... He was on about something like "we were not meant to have this" and "cancer of the cosmos"... I dunno. This really starts to echo back to that maintenance foreman who sabotaged the carrier.
Here's hoping we find the guy before he does anything stupid.
