Ugh... It's no good. I'm on my fourth attempt trying to power this thing up now. Seems like it just bricked itself, doesn't matter what I do, I just can't get it to respond to anything. We're still not even able to figure out where that transmission went, so it feels like we've just run into a brick-wall that we can't climb over...
... I'll be honest, I hate this. Working on this device. Seems like I'm just having to ignore the fact that this might've been responsible for the hundred of casualties aboard the carrier... I'm trying not to think about it, but I don't know... Last thing I want is a mental breakdown, not when I'm this early into the position, but does the job really entail just ignoring all this violence?
Maybe I'll get used to it. That's a... terrible thing to say, in hindsight... Uhh, well... Maybe it'll get easier. Hopefully, I can put my skills to good use now, and we can prevent this kind of thing from ever happening again in the first place. Time to try again for the fifth time... fingers crossed I have some more information soon.
