Seems like we have an issue again. That device I was working on was stolen from CSF storage again. They think it's related to the network intrusion a few days ago, something over-rided the door controls. Unfortunately, we didn't think to place a tracker on the device, and as long as it stays powered down and doesn't send any network traffic through the carrier's grid, then it's like finding a needle in a haystack.
Who would even bother taking the device? Is it that mysterious contact, Ember? What could they possibly want to do with it? Unless they know how to power it up, it's a total brick. Teams are trying to find the device now covertly, so we've been asked to keep quiet about it, but if you ask me, we're wasting our time... There's thousands of places to hide on this carrier, and they have more than enough time to figure out the device before we find them.
That is, unless we have a breakthrough. But I doubt it... No-one wants to open their mouth about it. I guess the last thing people want is to be arrested as an associate and handed off to authorities. So even if someone does know... Well, good luck getting them to talk.
