We found another bomb on the carrier today. Thankfully, it was defused before it exploded. Still struggling to comprehend how close most of us were to dying. The carrier couldn't be evacuated because most of the sections locked down when this began, and we had to cut through the reinforced blast doors, which took forever, just to get into new sections.
They placed the bomb under the FSD, to cripple the carrier. Apparently they offered us three decisions, hand over the carrier, shut down G.R.I.D permanently, or let them kill someone critical to squadron operations. We didn't have to make any of those decisions, thankfully, but I can't imagine how close it got. The bomb was supposed to explode today at 11:11 UGT, but somehow we were able to defuse it even after that time. Is EMBER toying with us? Did they pause the bomb just to screw with us?
Who were they going to kill, anyway? Most of our important operations crew members are still critically injured and can't work yet. Everyone else is working together in a joint effort. We don't have one single individual that's more important right now... Or at least, I think so. Maybe they have something else planned.
Anyway, I was able to get a copy of the image that EMBER sent, thanks to the security team. I thought it would be interesting to keep it attached to this log for context, I guess, since it's public anyway. It's... creepy, to be honest. I hope it doesn't happen again, and yet I can't shake the feeling that this is far from over.
