It's me, again. I haven't really been... uh... able to record any logs. It's busy around here. We're still repairing the briefing room and landing pads, and we're simultaneously preparing for Quinton's... well... memorial.
All this time gave me some time to reflect, to be honest. I keep wondering what it would be like to be a Commander. Because, honestly, this position makes me feel trapped. I was never good at taking orders as a kid... I would always be doing my own thing as opposed to what my parents wanted for me.
That's probably why I picked up that security position at that mining operation. My mom was worried I'd get myself killed... Well, I better not tell her what goes on here... She might have a fit. It's a good thing neither of them could care for news, or they might have figured it out already and sent me a stern message or something.
I... I honestly didn't think this squadron would become so important to me, really. The last thing I want to do is leave... but I'm also sick of having my hands tied. Maybe I should start to seriously think about it, applying for a Commander license. I don't know how hard the process but... if the stories are anything to go by, it might just be what I'm looking for.
