Good news! I've been making enough progress that the Captain suggested I put in my application for the Pilots' Federation early. He says they'll need to run background checks and vice versa to ensure I'm even eligible for becoming a Commander, but if that goes through, I can get right into tests and training, after some paperwork and all that.
I'm really excited. Some of my friends have even started suggesting places where I can go to start buying my own gear, once I become a Commander. I'm glad they have confidence in me. I honestly had my doubts, whether or not I could pull this off... but here I am... Making progress. I'm still thinking about how I'll speak to Nicholas about... 'resigning' from CSF... but we'll cross that bridge when we get there.
I've already put in a request to see if I can have my CSF gear transferred to my ownership.... and the answer may be yes, but I'll have to pay some amount. I hope it's not too much... I know this gear wasn't cheap, but it would make the transition a lot easier. I'm still wondering what ship I'll end up picking... I don't have too many credits to my name right now, but I guess it'd be nice to start looking at some stores and considering things.
