Weekend expedition: 3306.08.02 evening

02 Aug 2020Suremaker
The weekend expedition has come to the end and it was time to come back home.

After refueling Eridu, I took Krajtek and went for a last discovery journey to the nearby systems. This trip was not that emotional like previous ones, I managed however to find two interesting systems.

Jumping out in the Sifi UT-I d9-0 system revealed two closely orbiting stars, class A and class G, with other two stars class G and class K orbiting at a longer distance. The system did not have any other bodies though. Even though the system appeared to be already discovered, it was still interesting to visit.

Later I found Sifi JH-H b38-3 with a Water world (body 3) that has not been discovered before.

Because it was a long weekend, I came back on the carrier and stayed there till departure, enjoying a warm yellow glow of the lonely Sifi WO-P c19-2  class G star.

We started the departure an hour sooner than planned and left the system at 20:12...

---

For the trip back I planned the following schedule:
Sifi WO-P c19-2
-> Pru Euq EY-Z c13-6
-> Dumbbell Sector WU-D a13-4
-> Col 359 Sector UN-H b11-0
-> Col 285 Sector FS-A c14-11
-> HR 8671

The stops between the jumps were minimal, just to let the engines cool down and do the basic safety checks. It was enough however to scan the stop system and some neighbour ones in the meantime.

One of the visited systems was Stock 1 Sector UQ-Y a29-1, an already discovered system with four Icy bodies orbiting around class Y brown dwarf. The magenta colour of the star that I saw after leaving hyperspace felt very cold. I looked at the panel to check star parameters and noticed it's surface temperature to be 332 kelvins only, 58 C is the same temperature as hot water in my cabin, I thought.

3306.08.02 21:39 we have arrived at the target destination - an orbit of HR 8671 7.

The last thing I had to do today is to take Krajtek and visit the closest outpost, Helin Vision.

It was a really nice weekend expedition indeed!
