The week passed very quickly on tasks related mostly to faction affairs and a bit of mining. The recent fights I was involved motivated me to invest more in ship engineering, thus the end of the week I spent on widening my network.I've started with an old invitation from Selene Jean, recalling that for 10 painite she could do amazing things with the armour and hull reinforcements. The fact that Eridu orbits painite rich asteroid field and we have been mining it this week, made me think that it was a good start. I have to admit that the rumours of her skills were right!
Having ship protection sorted, I started browsing the connection log for further improvements and spot an interesting contact - Marco Qwent. I did not know where he is based but I had a note that people from Sirus Corporation may get me connected. I did some work for them in the past and already got the permit, so decided to make a visit to their home system. With the old contacts, it did not take long to get to the person who was keen to give me the coordinates in exchange for a "small favour". The more tricky part appeared to be finding the right gift for Marco: 25 Modular Terminals. I did not have them, so I had to check a few local bulletin boards and take a few opportunities to obtain them. It took a while, but it was worth it.
Marco appeared to be an interesting person. During the conversation, I mentioned that I want to improve the overall performance of my fleet. He said he can improve Power Plants and Power Distributors only. When he saw however my dedication in the improvements, he mentioned me of Professor Palin and Chloe Sedesi and suggested to contact them next. Of course, I have heard about them - they are famous for Thargoid-related research and huge involvement in helping humanity fighting the Thargoids. I have seen Guardian ruins and even managed to obtain Guardian FSD Booster, but except rescuing people from damaged stations, I was not involved much in Thargoid war so far. The opportunity to meet them made me interested and I started planning how to arrange the meeting and more importantly, how to obtain 25 Sensor Fragments. I knew I should visit the Pleiades Sector...
Before departing for to Thargoid region, I had one more thing to do - finally making a deal with Hera Tani, by delivering Kamitra Cigars. Having this deal done, I was ready for my next expedition...
