Cold orbits

I'm at my limit with Thargoid interceptors for the time being. The complicated drawn out, yet satisfying dance (when things go well), is on hold for me now. I've spent many weeks out here in the Pleiades honing my skills, trying out different configurations, weapons, ships and so on. I have (somewhat) learned to fly FA off, but orbiting the interceptors and staying in that orbit, while simultaneously running cold and trying to target the hearts, is quite tricky with my set up. With a variation on a boom and zoom method, I can comfortably take on the Cyclops, but the Basilisk remains just out of reach for me without having mastered FA off and the cold orbit manoeuvre completely. I'm sure that if I keep at it I will eventually take out one of the nearby Basilisks, but it could take a while. Besides, I have some unfinished pirate business to attend to and need to see what the Corvette is like up against more familiar human ships. Maybe I'll come back here in a few months to pick up where I left, maybe a break from the Thargoid fight will be a good thing.
I have transferred a few modules over to the Corvette at the Penitent, which is now mostly engineered - though a few tweeks here and there are still needed. I'm then off back to civilisation to lend a hand with some civil unrest back home. Pirate gangs getting out of hand again.
Hard going on the PS4 controller !
