Surprised you haven't blown up my comms yet.
All the starports around here got this somber hush to 'em. . . Quiet. . . Anxious.
People still trying to go about their day but . . .
The Fed Navy's been buzzin' around. Search and Rescue squads mobilizing.
I'm guessin' it's the same around there.
That Kingfisher ship was damned the moment it left.
Those things are less than 300ly from here.
And now . . .
It's like everyone's waiting for the New Year to tick over.
Except it ain't new years everyone's waitin' for, it's a damn Thargoid invasion.
I wanted to come to LHS 3447, get to you and mom. Dunno if that's gonna happen now.
I might get called back to Penef to join the gang if things go to hell.
I'm here at Mars High, you remember the place right? Maybe different then back when you and mom were here.
Sol is probably safe enough for the time being. I should be alright. There's solid defenses here.
I'm a few drinks in, drinking myself into doomsday I guess. Gonna wait things out here and see what happens when those . . .
