Exploration Log 2 : Flowers with a sense of style

13 – 03 – 08 22:15

A full day out and I’m not even one thousand light years away from launch, and still two hundred light years from Uncles' first waypoint. Ninette pointed out a flaw in my plan to tracking uncle Creamys’ path. As he didn’t return, he won’t have registered his data, meaning I won’t be finding any stars with Creamy Goodness II on them.

This means I have to investigate every man made return I get when scanning bodies, and there is a surprising amount of man-made junk out here. I’ll have to have read uncles’ expedition proposal and have a good think about how to use it to narrow my search. Still, it wasn’t all bad news today. I did manage to find some unique flowers that match my flight suit.

I was starting to think everything out here was a bland bacterium. This hot, colourful little chap is a welcome sight.

Lastly, I have found a nice, cool metal rich planet at almost two Gs to bed down on tonight. With Ninettes help, I’ve landed just in time to catch a star set, and the same star should warm up the ship just before the alarm goes off. Capital!

Went for a run on dusty plains this morning, my word It's good to feel a bit of weight. Nothing quite like some Gs to aid digestion either don'cha know? I made it to the first waypoint set by my Uncle today, no clues as to his wearabouts, so I'll cross my fingers. I did manage to find some more of those flower like things, and as father is an Apiarist, I got something to say about that, but later. This time, we didn't match, so I went and got changed.

Not long after that, I was investigating some debris when I spotted something else I could blend in with should I need to hide. I never imagined Bright red, white and gold could ever be camouflage.

Tonight I was too busy trying to find out if the bits of metal I found were anything to do with my uncle's ship, so I'm on a low-G ice moon for tonight. From now on, I think I'll make a point of finding a planet with at least Earth normal gravity for my nighttime stops.

Good night for now, log book.
