Not much to talk about today. The map made it look as if I hadn't gone far until I changed the orientation. I'm not much closer to the nebula at all, because I've been jumping along the Y.. or umm .. X .. Oh the up axis anyway. Wiggy said I would have many days like this, Jump scan, map and check check check. I'm not complaining about the work, but the lack of company is bothering me a little, and it's only been three days.
I did happen upon a patch of what I thought were trees, but they had no canopy. When I went to inspect them, they had more in common with fungus.
Back home, our short bulbus trees have a sponge or honeycomb like structure to be light, yet retain the strength to support the canopy of dome-forming leaves. Haven't felt a pang of homesickness in years, but that reminder touched me there for a moment. Must be something to do with the lack of a good cocktail bar out here.
Still, to keep it light, here's a silly picture titled 'Don't Take a Wazz in Low Pressure' I simply couldn't resist the childish impulse. I do apologise.

Today was a lot of nothing, but I was warned plenty of hours out here would lead to very little. I've been reading uncle Creamys' log, well, having Ninette read it to me as I fly hoping to glean a little insight. Currently, it's like looking for a .. Frond? Blade? Strip? Well, one particular piece of hay in a haystack.
I can say, after landing an Asp on many planets with no landing pad or control tower, that I very much miss my Dolphin. The Asp is a very versatile ship, but it's not built for operation in gravity or an atmosphere. I'd come down on a higher gravity world with a touch more confidence if I was in my beautifully appointed, smooth and comfortable Dolphin. Still, I'm enjoying the embrace of two point two Gs now the Asp and I made another perfect landing, so time for bed.
Good night for today log.
