I've been seeing this thing in the sky for a good few hundred light years now. Recently, it's been more prominent and tempting to investigate. As my uncle was off to a nebula, I have decided to jump over there as quickly as this bucket can manage and have a bit of a look around.
I've flown to many a nebula as a liner pilot, but never taken the time to actually get off the ship and have a look at it from a surface with in. Now is the time. I should arrive there tomorrow, and I'll spend the rest of that day there looking around for good shots to share.
Tonight's bedding down body is a very angry rocky world with quite a bit of volcanic activity. I did try to land by some lava spouts, but Ninette reminded me that lava is dangerous and very bad for the ship. She found me a good safe landing spot far away from anything interesting. Still, the odd tremor is like being rocked to sleep, so forgive me as I get on with enjoying that.
Good night log.

It turns out being inside a nebula is a forest for the trees situation.. Well, that only makes sense if you know what a forest is. What I'm saying is, one can't get a good picture of a nebula from within the nebula. I visited a few systems and planets to see what effect being in a nebula had on a planet, but I couldn't really say much about it.
I did notice that some panels of the Asp were almost completely stripped of paint. I've been taking the odd snap of them when I looked up and noticed, but I can't help but wonder why the paint is lasting so well over the rest of the craft.
As I'm landed and its quite late, I'll move off to the dark side of this little ice moon and put up with the almost non-existent gravity for tonight. I'll make an effort to find a better bedding down body tomorrow.
For now, good night log.
