Friday night at last.. but it's somewhat meaningless out here. Today had plenty of jumping in an effort to reach the next way point quickly. Consequently, I didn't stop for much along the way.
I made good distance, and soon I'll be leaving the Norma Expanse. I hope I find evidence of my uncle, because staying out here is becoming a bit of a chore. Tonight's bedding down planet is a warm High Metal with almost 1.5 Gs

The local star came up a lot earlier than I was told it would, so I imagine I put us down in the wrong place, as Ninette doesn't tend to make that kind of mistake. I was up, so I went for my run and found something I felt sure was not a natural formation.
I was very confident I had found a henge. A henge a sort of astronomical marker, or primitive observatory from ancient times and I spent many hours here trying to find evidence of intelligent interference. It wasn't until I took off to have a look at the site from above, that I found more collections of rocks that were clearly dropped there naturally. Still, it was an interesting day's instruction about henges and astronomy from Ninette.
The ABC & Ds of astronomy.
I took off in the late evening to at least cover a little distance today and, with a little luck find a Sangria Sky for my weekend treat. It didn't happen, but I did land myself on two Gs to keep me in bed tonight and let me actually taste my dinner for a change.
Good night log.

As luck would have it, I happened upon something hard to find today, but it wasn't a clue to my uncle's whereabouts. On an extremely hot rocky world, I found some Amphora Plants. It was so hot out there, I couldn't stay outside for more than a few moments before I started feeling my skin burn. I did try to take a better image, but even in the buggy, I was getting overheated.
They were interesting specimens because each fungal cluster grew a frond or fungal growth, that is rich in elements extracted from the ground, I suppose. I topped up on a few elements before I left. As the Ass is a little beaten up, I didn't want to leave it on this world for too long, in case the heat couldn't dissipate as efficiently as it does in supercruise.
I'm a day late, but as the weekends are losing their meaning, I'm going to take advantage of this Sangria Sky. Part of the stipulation is the sky should be accompanied by at least Earth normal gravity. I don't know if people that have lived in space all their lives have the same problem, but if I don't have a bit of pull to keep my sinuses clear, I can't taste anything I eat or drink. What's more, my digestive system is very much a gravity assisted process. Sometimes I wish I had a bar to swing around, so momentum could help out in the absence of gravity.
It's not a problem tonight as I have almost two Gs with me and my weekend treats, so I'm going to enjoy this and then get some sleep.

I crossed in to Norma Arm briefly today, and before I knew it, I'd crossed into the Arcadian Stream. I spent all day hunting in a spiral around the waypoint here looking for a sign of my uncle having travelled this way.
Apart from nice scenery, new discoveries are getting thin on the ground now. I've said it before, but I really am giving serious thought to going back to the Disc to see how much I have made from exploration and biological sampling. Ninette has done her best to estimate the amount, and I may have enough to get my own salvage ship (that definitely WON'T be an Asp) and retrieve my property from my frozen Conda, and just leave the ship there. It would be very nice to have some more information about that whats-a-m'jig my uncle left me, but it doesn't look like that is going to happen. Perhaps shall just have to risk salvaging my ship without more information about the Guardian device.
I've got a nice little Rocky with plenty of Bios to find and log at and almost Earth normal gravity, so I'm going to finish this place off and then get some sleep. Thus far, both the samples I found are red, my current colour of choice, so I've got a good feeling about this place.
As I have a bit of work to do before bed, I'll say. ..
