I can taste the FSD throughout the ship, every breath feels like I’m standing in a kitchen full of heated empty saucepans. The DSS has been fired so many times, the aim is off by a few degrease. I would stop to fix it, but I don’t know how, and the AFMU doesn’t recalibrate the aim, it fixes whats broken.
Ninette plotted an impressive spiral course that reverses at its apex. However, I would be out here searching for uncle Creamy for a little over a year. In the message that Doctor chap left for him, he mentions my uncle was looking for Guardians or Thargoids, and as uncle Creamy is.. or was a Guardian expert, I got Ninette to trim down the jumps to stars that best match the known Guardian sites.
It’s still hundreds of systems, but far less than it was. My eyes ache, and I think the hot stainless steel taste of the overused FSD has ruined my pallet. Instead of finding a place to land and let my sinuses clear before eating, I’ll stay in space tonight. Not tasting anything is currently a great benefit.

Almost a hundred and forty systems mapped today, I think that’s a personal record, but I am only mapping the bodies that match known Guardian sites and planets that match Wiggies’ criteria, so it doesn’t really count I suppose.
I’ve found noting Thargoid, Guardian or uncle like, but I have logged many bios for Wiggy. I suppose there is no point in rushing the search; uncle Creamy has been missing for over two years by this point, and a chap must keep his word.
I do keep telling myself not to accept favours one cannot repay at once, as they tend to be hour-intensive otherwise. Still, sum quod sum I suppose; no good arguing with ones’ nature.
Tonight I will reach the bottom of the spiral Ninette has us on, and tomorrow I’ll be tackling the longer outer twists to complete the search sphere. Once that is done, I think I will have to call it a day for this voyage. I have already started lightly rationing my supplies, and I still have to get back to the bubble. I definitely do not want reason to rate the Waist-To-Paste unit!
