Planet: B3
Place: GUARDIAN STRUCTURE, ANCIENT RUINS

Vicious Serpent, this one's first ultimate partner ASPE for multi purposes from commodity goods delivery or data transport, to mining or material collecting - has been an excellent partner. Still, one more thing is always desired: a little longer FSD jump.  To avoid causing misunderstanding, this fact would need to be highlighted that Vicious Serpent's FSD system is fully engineered, with the augmentation jump range increase.  This additional touch allowed the ship to jump longer than 45 light years, but when you start planning of long-haul travels across the universe perhaps a little more range addition would not hurt you, definitely.

So that irresistible desire pushed this one to decide purchase of Diamond Back Explorer.  Giving numerous times of engineering touches, DBX gained 55Ly+ per jump capability.  With this level of jump range, one long-term interest picked itself up in this one's mind; pursue to gain Guardian equipment.  That technology broker guy at Jameson Memorial taught this one a lot about Guardian technology while chit-chatting at the shop counter.  He offered various types of Guardian technologies which could be categorized in three: weapons, modules and starships.

55Ly+ jump already gave this one greater freedom to look around across the bubble, but that did not satisfy this one's desire completely.  Having completed 5000Ly run, his eyes and ears could not resist gathering news related to further remote places, Colonia and center of the galaxy. As a preparation of visit to such, Guardian FSD booster should definitely be a huge important key with no doubt.

After not so many times' jumps from the bubble, this one arrived at one guardian structure site that was supposed to hold the blueprint data needed to acquire Guardian modules. The process to activate the "dispenser" of the blueprint data was extraordinarily complex and complicated, thus he struggled stumbling down the bumpy ground, ending up flipping the SRV upside down; or found himself under intense fire of Guardian sentinels, which was almost fatal.

But, a commander can learn things through experiences. He learned that upside-down FSD flip could address by full energy allocation to the engine.  Learned that dealing with 3 sentinels at a time could potentially be fatal, but up to 2 he could be okay by powering up weapons and system.   Learned that it was better to charge pillars after sweeping off the sentinels, rather than leaving them floating around.
Eventually he has gained the blueprint data off from the technology core, which would give you only one data per challenge.   Partially protected by the missiles from the point defense system of DBX, he managed to collect a number of blueprint data.

This one did not return straight back to the bubble though.  Amongst the items needed to purchase unlocking of Guardian technologies, obelisk data would probably be the hardest element to collect swiftly.  Some were available at the guardian structure site, but instead of scanning data there he dropped in at the nearby ancient ruins, where you could find many clusters of obelisks in a relatively small place.

Obelisk data was actually not mandatory to purchase Guardian FSD booster, but for future needs he continued to collect all 5 types of data, alpha - beta - delta - epsilon and gamma. Delta and epsilon were harder babies to find, but after spending time for a good while there he finally satisfied browsing the inventory status of the encoded data on the display.   It was about time, this time for sure, to go back to the bubble.

CMDR Godthab out.
