Tour details

The Orion Complex

Barnard's Loop and Spirograph nebula in BD-12 1172

Roseum lagrange cloud in OORT

Luteolum lagrange cloud in OORT

Croceum lagrange cloud in 2MASS J05342753-0528284

Highlights: Spirograph nebula, lagrange clouds and biological findings in and near Oort

CMDR comments: Orion Complex was the first anchorage point of the expedition this time. This one had been to Barnard's Loop by himself solo a while ago so this was the second time; first time was an awesome experience but visiting the same place with a number of people could show you another aspect(s) of the location probably.

The carrier anchored in a system close to Barnard's Loop and the crew had opportunities to explore in and around the Loop and nearby nebulae such as Running Man Nebula, Flame Nebula and Horsehead Nebula etc.  This one was fully impressed by the colors of lagrange clouds in OORT system as well as biological findings over there.  OORT may not be the most popular places in the galaxy but if you have never been to it, this one highly recommend you to put it in your "must-see" bucket list.

On a satellite exploration in a system just after the FC left the Orion this one had a stuck accident of his SRV during rare material collection.  Which taught him to double make sure all 6 tires are not getting into narrow spaces.  That was a disaster.

Blue Trail

Blodeuwedds anchoring in NGC 40 STAR close to Bow-tie Nebula

Blue whirl nebula cloud seen from IC 1805 Sector AV-O c6-6

Black hole eye gazing at you in IC 1805 Sector DQ-Y e3

Highlights: Sailing in Sanguineous Rim toward Elysian Shore, Bow-tie Nebula, unnamed blue-whirl nebula in IC 1805 sector

CMDR comments: The carrier sailed high up above the Orion to HIP 36601 then after that, it proceeded more or less along the region border from Inner Orion Spur, to Sanguineous Rim and to Elysian Shore. Then the carrier headed toward the outer-rim direction, targeting Heart & Soul Nebula as a waypoint before entering into the dark remote region.  During the route from the Orion till NGC 7822 we had often embraced by warm colors such as red, orange or yellow derived by nebulae or lagrange clouds, but after NGC to H&S, come to think of it this one have this feeling that cold colors such as blue, purple or indigo were often seen, in shapes of nebulae or black hole.  Also had a chance to run into several unpopular tourist beacons during the sailing.

Another carrier from the squadron this one belonged to sailed more or less on the same route as Blodeuwedds' though schedule details were slightly different, which has been making the comm busy and lately. Sometimes the crew from the other carrier dropped in at our carrier's deck, or vice versa.  Thos who were capable of jumping long range with his/her exploration ship sometimes stayed undocked to continue the scouting, then caught up with the carrier at a later time.  As such, travel schedules of both carriers have been very flexible.  Continuous close communication between the bridge and crew on both carriers would be the key to enable such.

Heart and Soul

Soul Nebula holding Heart Nebula in its arms

Highlights: Heart and Soul Nebula, growing need of Tritium mining, hyperspace jump sighting

CMDR comments: This is where this one, other crew and the carrier is currently staying - already 7000Ly or more far away from the bubble. The bridge has announced the carrier was to anchor here for a while so this one is to work on some mining works to give the huge giant good amount of fuels to venture into further remote region.  Mining seemed to be very active both Heard and Soul.  A number of other fleet carriers were also seen near the stations of both nebulae.

This one missed a boarding time before the carrier went into a short hyperspace jump, which gave him an opportunity to witness the carrier hyperspace jump for the first time from outside.   It reminded him of jumps of huge carriers sometimes arriving in from nowhere when battling in an high-intense combat zones.

The expedition continues but the details of further route and schedule are yet to be confirmed.  Some crew might need to return to the bubble for certain reasons, but it is also rumored or heard that new clues are trying to catch up with the carrier also.  For this one he does not have urgent needs or tasks in the bubble so he is going to continue his journey boarding the carrier.

CMDR Godthab out.
